BROOKS, AB (January 8, 2025) – The Brooks Bandits of the BCHL are proud to announce the signing of the 2005-born goaltender Zach Zahara.
The Rocky View, AB native played two seasons in Western Hockey League (WHL), starting 34 games for the Medicine Hat Tiers and 11 games for the Wenatchee Wild.
The 6’1 goaltender had a 16-7-3 record and .893 save percentage during the 2023-24 season with the Tigers. He held a 3-7 record with the Wild this season.
He played in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League with the SAHA U18 Prep team in Medicine Hat.
The Bandits would like to welcome Zach and the Zahara family to Brooks.
The Bandits next game is this Friday, January 10 at 7:00 pm, where they take on the Vernon Vipers for the first time at the Centennial Regional Arena.
