The Bandits win decisive 7-3 victory over the Vernon Vipers

Brooks, AB (January 10, 2025)- The Bandits hosted the Vernon Vipers for the first time at the CRA on Friday evening. Zach Zahara got the nod in goal after being recently acquired by the Bandits. The game was chippy but by then end, the Bandits won by a score of 7-3 to improve to a 24-5-2 record.

In the opening frame, the Bandits got off to a quick start scoring a power play goal thanks to Michal Liscinsky, who has now scored in three straight games. Just five minutes later, former Bandit Luke Bibby, scored his 7th on the season to tie the game.

In the second period, the game opened up as the Vipers scored the go-ahead goal to lead 2-1, yet again scored by Bibby. Just shortly after, the Bandits got their second power play goal of the game, this time scored by Nick Peluso then just one minute later Jace Letourneau potted his 4th of the season to put the Bandits back ahead. At the halfway point of the period Kyren Gronick scored his first of the season to bring the game back level for the second time. Just 46 seconds later, Ethan Beyer scored his 7th on the season, also on the power play to put the Bandits back ahead.

In the final period, it was all Bandits as Davide Patella stayed hot scoring his 3rd goal in two games to double up the Bandits lead. Moments later, Ethan Beyer gets his second goal of the game firing the top corner wrist shot past Jari Kykkanen. One minute ahead of the final whistle, Jace Letourneau scored his 2nd goal of the game, again on the power play to make it a final score of 7-3.
