Brooks, AB (January 4, 2025) – The Bandits hosted the Cranbrook Bucks in the Back to Back games this weekend as they took revenge on the Bucks from last nights game with a big 6-1 win over Cranbrook on Saturday night. Chris Quizi is awarded the first star of the game with 25 saves.
In the first period, the Bandits took advantage early as Nathan Brown fired home his 4th goal of the season to put the Bandits ahead 1-0, 5:50 into the game. Later in the period, Michal Liscinsky scored his 4th of the season and his 2nd straight game with a goal for the Bandits.
In the 2nd period, both teams held their own for most of play until Davide Patella scores a power play wrist shot goal to put the Bandits up 3-0.
In the final frame, Cranbrook pulled the goalie with over 12 minutes remaining in the period on a 4 on 4 play but it didn’t work out as Cooper Pierson dug his way through centre ice and pushed the puck home to take the Bandits to a 4-0 lead. Just moments later, Parker Lalonde netted his 20th goal of the season, unassisted. With just under five minutes remaining in the period Nick Capasso got a breakaway and put the high wrist shot past goaltender Quizi to get the Bucks on the board. With 1:20 to go, Davide Patella got his 2nd of the game, silencing the Bucks bench for a 6-1 final score from the CRA.
The Bandits are back at home on Friday, January 10where they host the Vernon Vipers for the first time at the CRA at 7 PM.
