The Brooks Bandits are accepting resumes for an Assistant Coach for the 2025-2026 season. The successful candidate will assist in developing premier athletes into successful people, committed to excellence on and off the ice. The Bandits are looking for an experienced individual who will uphold the mission and values of the organization and the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) while being an integral part of our coaching staff and player development program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience coaching at the junior level
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with video editing and presentation

- Junior, College and/or Pro playing experience is considered an asset
- Candidate must be able to work in a high-performance team-first environment
- Candidate must be confident and comfortable in small group settings with focus on position and specific skill development

JOB OPPORTUNITY – ATHLETIC THERAPIST & EQUIPMENT MANAGER
The Brooks Bandits of the BCHL are seeking an individual(s) to serve as the team’s Athletic Therapist and/or Equipment Manager.
The successful applicant must be a team-oriented individual who is outgoing, organized, and willing to work closely with the Team Coaching Staff.
Both positions require strong organizational and communication skills with personal initiative and a positive attitude. The individual(s) will also be required to travel with the team on all road games.
Athletic Therapist duties include, but are not limited to:
- Attend all games, practices, and workouts
- Work closely with local medical personnel to attend to and assess player injuries, sicknesses, rehabilitation, and documentation (As per BCHL Requirements and Standards)
- Work with Domestic and International insurance companies to submit claims ensuring seamless care for players and families
- Injury prevention and physical preparation
- Communication of injuries to coaching staff and appropriate medical personnel
- Maintaining an inventory of medical supplies within a budget
Equipment Manager duties include, but are not limited to:
- Attend all games, practices, and workouts
- Work closely with the players on equipment needs
- Skate sharpening, maintenance and repair
- Equipment repair
- Dressing room & bench set up
- Maintaining an inventory of equipment, sticks and supplies within a budget
Qualifications
- Certified Athletic Therapist or related program and previous hockey team experience is required
- Equipment manager experience with a previous hockey team
- It is essential the successful candidate understands the hockey environment and can handle the challenges it brings to the day-to-day work atmosphere
- This position requires non-standard hours. Salary and term will be based on experience and certification

MEDIA MANAGER
The Brooks Bandits of the BCHL are hiring for the position of Media Manager for the 2025-26 season.
The successful applicant will oversee all media operations of the team, from video capturing, gameday broadcast production, social media, content and writing.
They will be responsible for all aspects of the Bandits in-house production including shooting each home game for broadcast, recording and playing back replays, in game graphics, as well as running visual elements in-venue.
