Brooks, AB — August 12, 2026 — The Brooks Bandits are pleased to announce the addition of Ryan Wilkinson to the organization as an Assistant Coach for the upcoming season.
A St. Albert, Alberta native, Wilkinson brings a strong combination of playing experience, coaching experience and player-development expertise to the Bandits coaching staff.
Wilkinson played five seasons in the Alberta Junior Hockey League with the St. Albert Steel and Calgary Mustangs before continuing his playing career at SUNY-Fredonia. He later played professionally in the SPHL and FHL.
Following his playing career, Wilkinson transitioned into coaching and player development. Most recently, he served as an Assistant Coach with Williams College (NCAA). He previously worked as a Graduate Assistant Coach with the University of Nebraska Omaha, gaining valuable experience in a high-level collegiate hockey environment.
Wilkinson also has extensive experience in elite player development, with a focus on skill advancement, individual player growth, performance systems and team development. Most recently, he served as the Head Coach of the St. Albert Raiders U15 AAA Sabres.
Brooks Bandits General Manger Wayne Labrie said Wilkinson’s background makes him an excellent addition to the organization.

We believe he will have a significant impact on our players both on and off the ice.”
Wilkinson is looking forward to joining the Bandits and continuing his coaching career in Brooks.
