Brooks, Alberta – The Brooks Bandits have signed defenceman Dane Sorenson from the Sioux Falls Stampede of the United States Hockey League (USHL).
Sorenson has recorded one goal and one assist in 41 games this season.
“We are extremely excited to add a defenceman of Dane’s calibre to our lineup,” said Director of Hockey Operations Wayne Labrie. “His development at Shattuck-St. Mary’s, as well as with Sioux Falls in the USHL, has prepared him well. We know he will bring a high level of competitiveness and structure to our group.”
The 6-foot, 176-pound defenceman is committed to play at the University of Massachusetts at the NCAA Division I level following his junior career.
“Dane’s commitment to UMass further highlights the type of player and person he is,” Labrie added.
