Chilliwack, BC (May 25, 2025)- The Brooks Bandits scored six times in game six of the BCHL Final as they defeated the Chilliwack Chiefs to lift the Fred Page Cup for the first time in their history.
In the opening period, the Chiefs scored first and early on the powerplay with a back door tap in by Dustin Renas. Just before the halfway point in the period, Michal Liscinsky fired a shot from the left wall and it found its way to the far right side of the net to even the game for the Bandits. Just 12 seconds later, the Chiefs would answer as Carter Anderson scored his 6th of the playoffs to take a 2-1 lead. Later in the period, Bandits on the powerplay, Luke Bibby found the back of the net for the 10th of the playoffs to even the game once again. With just over one minute left in the period, Nick Peluso had a right circle wrist shot to the far side and he scored to give the Bandits their first lead of the night.
In the second period, the Bandits held the Chiefs to three shots in the entire 20 minutes. AJ Lacroix would score his 4th of the playoffs and 3rd goal of the series against his former team to make it 4-2 Bandits. Just two minutes later, Nick Peluso scored his second of the game to put the Bandits ahead 5-2.
In the final period, Luke Bibby was the lone goal scorer on the empty net as the Bandits ran away with a 6-2 win to lift the Fred Page Cup.
