Bandits Handle Bucks in 10-2 Victory

Brooks, Alberta – The Brooks Bandits defeated the Cranbrook Bucks 10-2 due in part to Francois Devilliers posting a hattrick (four points total) and Connor Paronuzzi posting five points. The Bandits never let up as they posted three goals in the first period, three goals in the second period, and four in the third. It was a consistently dominant performance.

Connor Paronuzzi posted the first of his five points to get things rolling with a goal at the 2:31 mark of the first period. Liam Fitzpatrick was shortly behind him with a beautiful backhand at the 4:32 mark of the frame. Francois Devilliers posted the first of his three at the 11:12 of the first before Samuel Lyne brought the Bucks within two heading into the second (19:45).

Jack Rosensteel picked his corner and went top right on the Bucks goaltender (7:22) and Michal Marsalek didn’t waste any time after that, scoring his first in the BCHL at the 12:05 mark of the second period. Kamyl Chemrouk found the puck in the scrum and banked it off the goalie to make it 6-1 heading into the third.

Adam Csabi put some life into the Bucks with a goal just 2:19 into the third, but it was too little too late. Dante Siciliano ripped a one timer home from the point for a power play tally, and fellow defenceman Francois Devilliers posted two more goals to put the game firmly out of reach (7:54, 10:10). Jeremiah Mundy put one in at 10:31 for the icing on the cake.

The Bandits are back at it tomorrow against the Trail Smoke Eaters at 7 o’clock at the CRA.
