Brooks, Alberta – The Brooks Bandits of the BCHL have added 2005-born forward Brett Calhoon to their roster ahead of tonight’s matchup against the Cranbrook Bucks.
Calhoon, a native of Kamloops, BC, brings a wealth of junior hockey experience to the Bandits, having played 125 games in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Medicine Hat Tigers, Kelowna Rockets, and Red Deer Rebels. Listed at 6-foot, 185 pounds, Calhoon is also an alumni of Southern Alberta Hockey Academy (SAHA) in Medicine Hat where he was a teammate of Bandits goaltender Zach Zahara.
“Brett will add some leadership and experience to our forward group,” said Wayne Labrie, Bandits Director of Hockey Operations. “We look forward to having him in the lineup starting tonight versus Cranbrook.”
Calhoon is expected to make his Bandits debut tonight at the Centennial Regional Arena as the Bandits host the Bucks at 7 o’clock MT.
