August 1, 2025 – The Brooks Bandits of the BCHL have announced Taylor Smith has been hired for the position of Athletic Therapist and Equipment Manager for the 2025-26 season.
Smith previously held the position of Athletic Therapist and Equipment Manager for the Lloydminster Bobcats of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) since the 2021-22 season.
“I’m very excited to be joining the Brooks Bandits as the new Athletic Therapist and Equipment Manager,” said Smith.
“I’ve heard great things about the organization, and I’m looking forward to bringing my previous Junior A experience into this new role. Can’t wait to get started and be a part of the team this season!”
Smith holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology – Athletic Therapy from the University of Manitoba.
“We were looking to find someone with clear experience in junior hockey and Taylor’s last four seasons have demonstrated her ability to multitask and hold multiple titles,” said Bandits Head Coach and GM, Ryan Papaioannou.
“Her former players had nothing but positive reviews which is a testament to her character. We are looking forward to her arrival in Brooks, shortly before training camp.”
The Bandits open the preseason on Saturday, September 6th when they host the Trail Smoke Eaters at the Centennial Regional Arena for an exhibition game.
The 2025-26 Regular Season opens September 19th in Spruce Grove, followed by the Bandits Home Opener on September 20th vs Okotoks.
