Schedule released for BCHL Alberta Final featuring Bandits and Crusaders

May 2, 2024 – The Brooks Bandits and Sherwood Park Crusaders will meet in the BC Hockey League’s Alberta Division Final, which begins May 10th in Sherwood Park.

The best-of-seven series begins in Sherwood Park due to the Koye Larson Memorial PBR at the CRA, despite the Bandits holding home-ice advantage. The first game in Brooks will be Game 3 on Friday, May 17th. Games 1 and 2 of the series will be played at the Randy Rosen Rink in Sherwood Park, and if there’s a Game 6, it will be held at the Silent Ice Center in Nisku.

The Bandits are coming off a hard-fought seven games series vs the Okotoks Oilers that wrapped up this past Tuesday with the Bandits winning the series 4 games to 3.

Brooks won six of seven meetings with the Crusaders in the Regular Season. Sherwood Park finished second in the Alberta Division and swept the Blackfalds Bulldogs 4 games to 0 in the other Alberta Semifinal.

The winner will represent Alberta in the Rocky Mountain Challenge vs the the winner of the BCHL’s Fred Page Cup. The final four in BC has the Penticton Vees facing the Salmon Arm Silverbacks, while the Surrey Eagles will square off against the Alberni Valley Bulldogs. The Rocky Mountain Challenge best-of-three series goes May 31 to June 2, hosted by the Alberta team.
