Nathan Crosby Departs Bandits

Brooks, Alberta – The Brooks Bandits announce that Business Manager and Play-by-Play Announcer Nathan Crosby is leaving the team to pursue another opportunity.

Crosby joined the Bandits in 2017 as the Sales and Marketing Manager. Two years later the play-by-play role was added to his duties and he became Business Manager starting with the 2020-21 season.

President Paul Seaton commented “I well remember meeting Nathan for the first time at the 2017 Cale Makar NHL Draft occasion, shortly before he began his journey with our organisation. Stepping into an already elite hockey environment is no small task, yet he embraced the role and consistently delivered.”

During his tenure with the organisation the Bandits won AJHL and National Championships in 2019, 2022, and 2023. The team also captured the Rocky Mountain Challenge in 2024, and won BCHL Championships in 2025 and 2026.

In addition to overseeing the Bandits off-ice operations during the pandemic, he led the successful bid for the 2021 AJHL showcase, an event heralded as a sound success. In 2023 he accompanied the team to the 2023 U20 Super Challenge in Sweden and also participated in the Bandits move to the BCHL in 2024.

“It’s been an honour to work for the Brooks Bandits for nine seasons, and I consider myself lucky to be part of the unmatched success the team has seen over that time,” he said.

“It’s been a privilege to work with amazing staff, past and present, and our Board of Directors. I’ve been fortunate to be surrounded by great players and their families during my time, and I wish them success with their future endeavours. Finally, thank you to the outstanding supporters of this team, from the hard-working volunteers to the gracious billets, the generous sponsors and the passionate fans.”

Seaton added, “Nathan’s polite demeanour, diligent work ethic, dedication and professionalism have been unwavering. He approached every responsibility – including latterly the demanding role of business manager – with care, manners, integrity, and a genuinely personable style that strengthened both our culture and reputation.”

“Throughout a period of significant growth and increasing challenges, his commitment never faltered. The image he portrayed always reflected the high standards of our organisation. On behalf of the Board of Directors and our community, I thank Nathan for his nine years of outstanding contribution. He leaves with our sincere appreciation and very best wishes for the future.”
