August 23, 2024- The BC Hockey League has announced the Interior Conference winners of the Kyle Turris Community Award, presented by Rogers.
The award is given to BCHL players who go above and beyond in their community. Each team submits a winner from their organization, along with the reasons they were chosen.
This year’s winner from the Brooks Bandits is forward Davide Patella.
Patella (Laval, QC) has played two seasons with the Bandits, tallying 28 points (10G, 18A) in 64 regular season games as well as five points (1G, 4A) in 16 playoff games.
He was a constant in the Brooks community. From school visits to senior’s homes, his ability to connect with people of all ages was present. His outgoing personality made him an ideal choice for this award.
Congratulations to Davide for receiving the Kyle Turris Community Award.
