Brooks, Alberta – The Brooks Bandits defeated the Sherwood Park Crusaders 6-1 in Game 7 Tuesday night at the Centennial Regional Arena. Liam Fitzpatrick, Isaac Johnson, Harry Ahlberg and Francois De Villiers all posted multi-point efforts.
They will now face the winner of the Salmon Arm Silverbacks and Cranbrook Bucks series in the BCHL semi finals.
Isaac Johnson got the CRA rocking just 58 seconds into the game, going bar down on the unsuspecting Filip Vavro, who would later exit the game due to injury. Liam Fitzpatrick scored at 7:53 on a backdoor tap-in off a beautiful pass from De Villiers. Nico Addy added one more for the Bandits at 7:53 before Bode Sampair put the Crusaders on the board at 12:51 heading into the break.
Jack Rosensteel found the puck in front and buried his team-leading seventh of the season for the lone goal of the second period.
Liam Fitzpatrick scored another opportune goal just 35 seconds into the third period before Mathis Dufour delivered on a one-timer from the left dot on the power play.
Games 1 and 2 is tentatively set to be played Friday and Saturday at the Centennial Regional Arena against their semi final opponent.
