Brooks, AB (May 6, 2025)- Luke Bibby scored first and scored early as the Bandits continued to put the puck in the Vees net as they took a 3-1 series lead against the Penticton Vees on Tuesday night at the CRA.
Zach Zahara earned another win between the pipes stopping 25 shots as the Bandits defeated the Vees 6-3.
In the opening frame, Luke Bibby opened the scoring with an early goal to get the Bandits up 1-0 against the Vees. Just five minutes later, Cooper Pierson would score his fifth of the playoffs to make it 2-0 Bandits. Just after the timeout, Parker Lalonde would score off the rush to extend the lead to 3-0 for the Bandits.
In the 2nd period, just past the halfway point, Nick Peluso would score his 7th of the post season to extend the Bandits lead to 4-0. Later in the period the Vees would get one back on the board as Oscar Pantzare scored his 2nd of the playoffs.
In the third period, Luke Posthumus scored just three minutes in to cut the Bandits lead to 4-2. Just after the halfway point in the period, Louie Wehmann cut the deficit in half and brought the Vees within one goal. In the final period, Nick Peluso and Parker Lalonde would add two more goals both on the empty net to make it 6-3 for the Bandits.
The Bandits head to Penticton on Friday May 9th, as they play the Vees in Game five of the series with a chance to close it out. You can catch the broadcast with Nathan Crosby on New Country 105.7.
