Bandits level the series after 8-2 win in game 2

Brooks, AB (April 5, 2025) – The Brooks Bandits have made it a best-of-five series, bouncing back with a dominant 8-2 win over the West Kelowna Warriors on Saturday at the Centennial Regional Arena.

Goaltender Zach Zahara got his first BCHL playoff win with 20 saves, while Luke Bibby had a two goal game, and Jack Good scored three points. The series is tied 1-1, with Game 3 scheduled for Tuesday, April 8th in West Kelowna.

In the first period, it took the Bandits only 26 seconds as forward Caden Drury opened the scoring with his first of the playoffs, one-timing a Davide Patella face-off pass. About three minutes later, forward Cooper Pierson extended the Bandits lead to 2-0 ,finishing a give and go with forward Jack Good. Just after the halfway point of the period, forward Mathis Dufour extended the lead to 3-0 which caused the Warriors to make a goaltender change as Édouard Gauthier allowed three goals on 10 shots, he was replaced by Bor Glavič. Just three minutes after the goalie change, forward Nick Peluso dumped a puck into the offensive zone, and forward Luke Bibby was first one to it, blasting a left circle shot to make it 4-0 . With just less than 30 seconds to go in the period, Warriors forward Logan Flint got the Warriors on the board to cut the lead to 4-1.

In the 2nd period, the Warriors got a quick goal to bring the game within two goals from Jackson Kyrkostas, who scored off the rush. Just under two minutes later, forward Jack Rosensteel buried a Good pass. and extended the Bandits lead to 5-2. Just after the timeout, Good continued the Bandits push and brought them to a 6-2 lead. Bibby scored his 2nd of the night on the powerplay7 with just under a minute left in the frame to make it 7-2.

In the third period, forward Michal Liśćinsky scored on the backdoor one-timer to make it 8-2 and close out the game. Shots were 36-22.

The Bandits level the series 1-1 against the Warriors and head to West Kelowna for game 3 and 4 on Tuesday April 8th and Wednesday April 9th. Both games are set for 7 PM PDT. Listen to live coverage on New Country 105.7 FM.
