Bandits forward Hunter Wallace named BCHL Alberta Division Player of the Week

LANGLEY, BC (March 27, 2024) – The BC Hockey League has announced Brooks Bandits forward Hunter Wallace has been named the Alberta Division Player of the Week, while forward Mirko Buttazzoni received an Honourable Mention.

Wallace (Oak Lake, MB) scored three goals during the week of March 18th to 24th, completing his first regular season hat trick, helping the Bandits win 9-1 over the Sherwood Park Crusaders on March 22nd.

The third-year forward has seven goals and four assists in seven games in the month of March. He’s currently fourth in scoring in the BCHL Alberta Division with 19 points (11G, 8A) in 16 games, and has 46 points (26G, 20A) in 47 total games this season.

He joins Buttazzoni (February 19th to 25th), Nathan Free (February 12th to 18th), and Logan Sawyer (March 4th to 10th) to be named the BC Alberta Division Player of the Week.

Buttazzoni tallied four points (1G, 3A) in two games over the weekend.

The Bandits final regular season home game is this Friday, March 29th when they host the Spruce Grove Saints. Game time is 7:00 pm.
