Bandits forward Danylo Korzhyletskyi commits to AIC

August 6, 2024 -The Brooks Bandits of the BCHL are pleased to announce that 2003-born forward Danylo Korzhyletskyi has committed to American International College.

Korzhyletskyi joined the Bandits in fall of 2022 after being granted eligibility to play in Canada while war came to his home country of Ukraine.

The 21-year-old forward is coming off his second full season with the Bandits totaling 80 points (32G, 48A) in 114 regular season games. During his time in Brooks, he won two Alberta Championships, a Centennial Cup and the 2024 Rocky Mountain Challenge.

Danylo has also claimed some hardware while representing Ukraine on the international stage. Korzhyletskyi has represented Ukraine on multiple occasions and has won the Ukraine Cup as well as earned a silver medal in the tournament. After representing Ukraine in the U-20 WJC (22-23), Danylo was named the best forward in the competition.

He was also named the recipient of the Nick Crosby Memorial Award in 2024, which is given to a Bandit each year that best exemplifies Nick’s greatest attributes of determination, hard work, perseverance and respect and love for the game.

Located in Springfield, MA, the American International Yellow Jackets men’s ice hockey team competes in the Atlantic Hockey Conference of NCAA Division I Hockey.
