Bandits Fall 4-3 to Cranbrook in Overtime

Brooks, Alberta – The Brooks Bandits fell 4-3 in overtime to the Cranbrook Bucks at Centennial Regional Arena on Saturday night. Brooks built a 3-0 lead after the first period but could not hold on.

Jack Good opened the scoring at 7:34 with a shot into the top left corner. He added his second at 11:46, finishing a rebound in front. Harijs Cjunskis extended the lead to 3-0 at 17:30. Good recorded three points in the opening period.

Gavin Jensen put Cranbrook on the board at 1:40 of the second period. Konstantin Hutzinger scored at 16:37 to cut the deficit to one heading into the intermission.

Mitch Patrick tied the game at 7:36 of the third period. Despite continued offensive pressure from both teams, neither side found the go-ahead goal in regulation.

In overtime, Jack McMinn scored past Lincoln Molind to secure the win for Cranbrook.

The Bandits return to action next Friday at Thompson Family Arena against the Spruce Grove Saints.
