Bandits drop game 2 of Fred Page Cup Final

Brooks, AB (May 17, 2025)- The Bandits took the lead in this game but a resilient Chiefs team didn’t let go as they completed the comeback and defeated the Bandits in game two of the Fred Page Cup Final.

In the opening period, the lone goal scorer came from the Bandits as former Chilliwack Chief AJ Lacroix tipped in the point shot as he got the Bandits on the board first. Goaltender Zach Zahara made nine saves in the period.

In the 2nd period, Brady Milburn tied the game just under seven minutes into the second as he scored his 10th goal of the playoffs. Mathis Dufour would score his 4th of the post season off a high point shot that he recovered and tapped it in at the side of the net. Just over 30 seconds later Parker Lalonde fired home his 15th of the playoffs as the Bandits doubled the lead. The Chiefs would then respond with two quick goals, one from Caleb Elfering and the other from Nico Grabas as they tied the game late in the period.

In the third period, Mateo Mrsic scored the lone goal of the period which was the game winner for the Chiefs as they took game two by a score of 4-3.
