Nanaimo, BC – The Brooks Bandits defeated the Nanaimo Clippers 2-1 in overtime Wednesday night at the Frank Crane Arena. Harry Ahlberg scored the overtime winner off an assist from Isaac Johnson. Zach Zahara made 43 saves and was named the first star of the game for the third consecutive time.
Mathis Dufour scored the lone goal of the first period at 14:17 on a bar down shot from the low slot off a pass from Jack Good.
Charles Beland tied it for the Clippers at 17:04 of the second period on the power play.
That was it for scoring in regulation, and Harry Ahlberg converted at 19:49 of the first overtime period after serving a minor penalty just minutes prior.
Game 5 is set for Friday night at the Centennial Regional Arena at 7:00 MT. The Bandits will have a shot to be back-to-back champions of the BCHL within their first two full seasons in the league.
