Spruce Grove, Alberta – The Brooks Bandits defeated the Spruce Grove Saints 7-2 in Game three of the BCHL quarter finals. Dante Siciliano posted a hat trick, Dmitrijs Dilevka posted four points and Isaac Johnson had a three point effort.
Siciliano got things going for the Bandits at 11:50 of the first period with a low slot shot and gave the Bandits a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.
Chris Battaini found some space in the right circle and was able to tie it up for the Saints at 1:11 of the second period. Alexei Zhukov found a loose puck on the doorstep and buried to give the Bandits a lead, but Alexy Lachaine replied shortly after at 7:26 to tie it back up. Dilevka scored one of his two at 9:46 before Siciliano scored his second and third on two beautiful sequences. It was all Bandits from there on out. Ahlberg scored at 18:05 to send the Bandits into the final intermission with a 6-2 lead.
Dilevka added one more in the third period (8:03) to give the Bandits a 7-2 final score.
Zach Zahara made 24 saves on 26 shots while six Bandits registered multi-point efforts.
The Bandits will look to finish the series off tomorrow night when the visit the Thompson Family Arena for the second straight night.
