Bandits Conquer Cranbrook and Win Their Fourth in a Row

Cranbrook, BC — The Brooks Bandits extended their winning streak to four games with a decisive 5–2 victory over the Cranbrook Bucks on Saturday night.

Frantisek Albrecht opened the scoring just 2:19 into the first period, finishing a sharp setup from Jack Good to give Brooks the early lead.

Cranbrook responded quickly when Rupi tied the game at 3:18, but the Bandits wasted no time regaining control. Isaac Johnson, continuing his hot streak, buried a power-play marker just 33 seconds later to restore the Bandits’ advantage.

Brooks kept rolling. At 5:38, Liam Fitzpatrick struck in similar fashion to Johnson, and at 13:32, Kamyl Chemrouk added another to send the Bandits into the first intermission up 4–1.

The Bucks showed signs of life in the third period when Konstantin Hotzinger cut the deficit at 8:44, but any momentum was short-lived. Johnson sealed the game with his fourth goal of the weekend, depositing an empty-netter to cap off the 5–2 win.

The Bandits return home next weekend for back-to-back matchups at the Centennial Regional Arena, hosting the Sherwood Park Crusaders on Friday and the Coquitlam Express on Saturday. Both games are set for 7:00 p.m. MT.
