The BCHL has released the 2026-27 Regular Season Schedule, which will see the Brooks Bandits play 54 games beginning September 18 and concluding with their final game on March 20.
The Back -to-Back defending BCHL Champion Bandits will open the regular season on September 18 on the road against the Blackfalds Bulldogs. The Bandits 2026 Home Opener is September 19 at the Centennial Regional Arena vs the Okotoks Oilers. Prior to the game, the team will be introduced, and the 2025-26 Championship and Divisional Banners will be unveiled.
2026-27 BCHL Schedule – Key information:
- Each team will play 54 games
- Divisional alignment and playoff format remain the same as last season
The Brooks Bandits will play their Interior-East divisional rivals 7 times each, which include the Spruce Grove Saints, Blackfalds Bulldogs, Sherwood Park Crusaders and Okotoks Oilers.
- The Coastal West division will play the Interior East division, marking the first time the majority of these teams will play in a BCHL regular season game
The Alberni Valley Bulldogs will visit the CRA for the first time in franchise history on October 9, while the Cowichan Valley Capitals will do the same on October 17.
The Bandits will then make their first official regular-season trip to the Coastal West Division in franchise history on October 30 and 31 as they visit the Powell River Kings and Victoria Grizzlies. This will be the first regular season meeting against the Grizzlies, and the second against Powell River who the Bandits faced in the 2025 BCHL Showcase.
- 2026 BCHL Showcase games are not included and will be announced at a later date
- The season concludes on March 21
The Bandits’ longest duration between home games runs from November 27 to December 16 where they embark on a stretch of five straight road games, which include two separate trips to the Interior West Division. In that stretch, they visit the Cranbrook Bucks (Dec 2), West Kelowna Warriors (Dec 4), a pair of games against the Vernon Vipers (Dec 5, 11) and finally the Salmon Arm Silverbacks (Dec 12).
The Bandits’ longest stretch of home games runs immediately after returning home from Salmon Arm. December 16 will begin a stretch of six straight home games. They wont return to the road until a month later, on January 16.
The Bandits’ holiday break sees the team play their final game on December 19, making their return to the ice with a New Years Day game against Blackfalds Bulldogs.
The Bandits will play three preseason games to fine tune their roster prior to season opening puck drop. The Saints and Oilers will visit the CRA, and the Bandits will travel to Okotoks.
- The Rogers BCHL Playoffs begin on March 26 (a week earlier than recent years)
